MAC Saint Germain review+ swatches:

Hey lovelies! Today I will be reviewing a beautiful shade of lipstick by MAC -Saint Germain. It is described by MAC as a 'clean pastel pink'. I feel that every girl should have a pretty barbie pink lipstick and this one is exactly that. It is a very blue based(cool toned) pink so can appear a bit lilac purple. The color looks absolutely gorgeous and I instantly fell in love with it the moment I saw it! Without any further delay let's get on to the review:

As you can see the color is very 'barbie pink'. Saint Germain can be a bit difficult to pull off. I mean it looks very flattering on light skin tones but not so impressive on darker skin tones. Most of the times it can be a hit or a miss. I actually did not discover my love for blue-pink lipsticks till I saw this! The formula is very opaque and one swipe is needed for that barbie pink pout! It's very light color and opaque formula can look a bit harsh as it can completely block out the color of your lips, so what I like to do is apply it sheer or add a hint of gloss on top to make it more wearable.
The staying power is kinda OK not very great! It stays on for around 5 hours on me but then it is those kind of lipsticks which fade very evenly so you can get away with one application if you want to! I like to wear it with a soft brown smokey eye or a simple a winged eyeliner.
What I love is the fact that it looks great on my skin tone(provided the right eye makeup). Not much words for this just pure love!!

We all have quite a lot of pink lipsticks but this is one PINK which you must try! I am sure you will love it. It's fun and different.

  • Ultra girly, fun shade
  • Apply evenly
  • highly pigmented
  • Formula can be drying on it's own
  • Can be difficult to pull off on some skin tones but again as I said, it's a great mixing color
  • Can emphasize yellow teeth!
I adore this MAC Saint Germain lipstick and love applying different glosses over it. I sometimes mix a warm pink lipstick with Saint Germain and the color appears much more vibrant and pink. The possibilities are pretty much endless and all you need to do is experiment and see what looks best on you. As for me, I love this shade and its a 5 on 5 from me.
