Clinique dark spot corrector - REVIEW!

Hello all u lovely ladies out there! Hope u r having a great time! I bought this clinique dark spot corrector last month so i was like hw about a review on it.So here we are.
DESCRIPTION:According to clinique:
A clinically proven serum that visibly reduces dark spots, age spots and traces of acne past. This lightweight layer able serum effectively evens skin tone.Appropriate for all skin types and ethnicity.
My take on this product:
I had acne issues since puberty and i had these acne spots on my face. So i decided to give this product a try.
After using this my skin tone improved and I had no issues regarding dryness. The spots started fading and they have actually disappeared! But it lasts u only about 12 weeks and it is pretty expensive too! So I would recommend this product only if u have like serious acne issues, and spots all over your face! For me I now use clinique dramatically different moisturizer and i dont use this product any more! Hope that helped!

Easy and simple steps to remove BLACKHEADS

Most of us have blackheads at one point of time or another. In fact there will be people who will not be able to recognize their face  without blackheads! Blackheads are the result of follicles that are wider than normal that end up getting plugged with old cell and sebum. With oxygen they undergo an oxidation reaction(a chemical reaction) causing the material in the follicle to become black in color.Hence blackheads must be properly removed else they can cause severe acne problem. So first let us look at the healthy skin practices to remove them.       1)Drinking lots of water:
I know u have heard this many times but trust me this really works! You should keep yourself hydrated and in a few days u will see that it not only makes your skin feel and look fresh but it also aids in your digestion! So go ahead and drink lots of water!!
2)Wash and cleanse your face regularly with cold water:

Scrubbing the skin too much can also increased oil secretion in the skin on the face and thus, may lead to accumulation of dirt in the pores, leading to blackheads being formed. Also using skin products with high oil content can lead to formation of blackheads.Problems like indigestion constipation and anemia can also increase the amount of blackheads.
While squeezing is the most common way to remove blackheads, it cannot and should not be done by using excessive physical strength, as it can lead to more acne related problems. It is also not one of the best ways to remove blackheads. Also take care, to wipe the surface clean and not use one's fingers, so as to not spread it onto the other areas. Another easy and quick solution to the question of how to remove blackheads is using strips. These strips are used on the nasal region or other regions of the face, to remove surface blackheads effectively. Just place the strip onto the area affected for a short while, and pull off, to remove from the affected area.
REMOVAL OF BLACKHEADS:
If you have developed blackheads then here are some home tips to get rid of them.
Steaming method:
Boil a pot of water and add lemon to it.Throw a towel over you head so that it covers the pot keeping the steam within and lean over the pot and breath deeply.Do this for five minutes until your face is wet with steam. This opens your pores! Now you can use a cotton ball over the affected ares and dislodge the blackheads  Continuing on, add some cooler water to the pot so that the water remains quite hot, but not boiling, so that you may apply it to affected areas. Do so with a wet cotton pad, wringing it out, and pressing blackhead areas with the pad. Ensure the pad remains hot. Also, be careful not to burn yourself! Cleanse after the use of this method.
And lastly dont forget to wash your face before going to bed.I have seen people going to bed with makeup on their face !! This is strict no no as this will cause clogging of your pores and lead to formation of blackheads.
So i hope keeping these simple steps in mind you can get rid of those blackheads on you face!!

Hair care tips for WINTERS!

It's winter and that time of the year when your hair need extra care.So i am gonna discuss some easy ways in  which you can keep your hair protected from cold and at the same time look and feel your best! So lets get started!!
1)If you find your hair becoming extra dry during winter then cut down on frequent washing and avoid harsh shampoos.
2)Oiling your hair once a week is something you should never forget! Then dip a towel in hot water squeeze out the water and wrap the towel around your head.Keep it for five minutes. This helps the hair absorb the oil better.
)Wear a scarf hat or a cap. Not only it looks chic but also it will protect your hair from cold, but make sure your scarf or hat is not too tight so that it restricts circulation in your scalp.
2) Lock in hair moisture by running your hair through cold water. This also gives your hair an extra shine.
3)Do not overuse your hair dryer and iron. This causes water loss in hair and leads to their damage.
4)An easy way to deal with hair static is to spray some amount of hair spray on your hair brush and brush it from top to bottom.
5)Massage your hair with aloe vera juice as it replenishes moisture.
So i hope keeping these simple steps in mind you can take care of your hair and look your best this season! All the best.
Love Shikha.

Top five makeup mistakes

I have frequently seen people do these mistakes so i wana discuss them with u so that u can avoid these:
1) CAKEY FOUNDATION:
DONT choose a cakey foundation as it looks too heavy on your skin. they do create an even coverage but sometimes especially when you are wearing the wrong shade it can look like a mask making u look like a ghost. so choose ur foundation carefully!
2)APPLYING LIPSTICK TO CHAPPED LIPS:
Never apply lipstick to chapped lips as this may aggravate the condition.Instead use a lip balm or Vaseline.Gentle ex foliation with a mild exfoliator once or twice a week may help!
3) Not using a primer!
Eye primer and face primer not only help your makeup last longer but they provide a smooth canvas for other products. And they prevent color migration.yes it is an extra step but it only takes about half a minute and its worth it trust me!
4) CLUMPY MASCARA:
another makeup mistake which most people make is the clumpy mascar look. It looks so uneven and i recommend investing in a good mascara to avoid this mistake.
5)WEARING A RAINBOW OF EYESHADOW ONCE:
Just because your compact came with four or more colors packaged together doesn’t mean you have to paint them all onto your eyelids at once.It is recommended to use not more than three shades at a time a medium shade on the lids, a lighter one to highlight the brow bone, and the darkest as a liner for the top and bottom lids. For a simpler, everyday application, you could skip the liner and just use a single light shade all over the lids up to the brows.
So I hope you keep these mistakes in mind and avoid them when u use makeup ! have fun n takecare!

Take a very light shade eyeshadow colour and apply it to the inner corners and as a highlight. This would help to open up your eyes. Here i used ESTEE LAUDER in pink ice.

Take a dark shade and start from the outer crease. Colour the crease in the darker shade creating an outer 'V'.blend otwards. Here i used estee lauder smokey. Then take the darkest shade and apply it all over the crease area to make it stand out. I used mac carbon.Taking the same eyeshadow line the lower lash line.Apply a black kohl on the lower water line and smudge it using a q tip.Apply eyeliner and false eyelashes to give it a dramatic effect.
