Lancome Color design Eyeshadow quad review:

Hey my lovelies! When it comes to eyeshadows, I love to play with different brands and colors. I love creating different looks and I am sure, a lot of us do! Today I will be reviewing the Lancome Color Design eye shadow quad. It has four colors namely: Latte, exhibition, drama and volcano! Here's how the quad looks like:

and

The colors:

As you can see in the picture, there are four beautiful colors in this quad. The first one is called Latte which is an off white matte color. This can be used in the inner corner of the eye to brighten it up. It can also be used as a highlight color. The second color is called exhibition which is a peachy metallic shade. The third color is called volcano which is a beautiful purple color and has some shimmer to it. The fourth color is named drama and it is a brownish shimmer shade. All in all there are four shades out of which two are matte and the other two are shimmery.
My take on this quad:

So now you may ask as to how I find it? Well, to begin with the first thing which is amazing is the creamy feel of these eye shadows. They glide on smoothly and evenly.  You can mix and match these colors to create different looks. the colors will compliment all skin tones. Take a look at the swatches::
and
..
..
Pros:
  • Beautiful color combinaton for everyday use.
  • Tiny, sturdy packaging
  • Super blendable colors
  • There is a small mirror in the palette.
Cons:
The only downside is that these colors are  not very pigmented and you need to apply a lot of product for the desired look.

Verdict:
I love this mini quad and would surely recommend this to all of you. Overall I give it a 3.5 out of 5. Have you guys tried it yet?

Avon Glazeware Intense Lip Gloss review:

Hey everyone, today I going to review Avon Glazeware intense lip gloss in the shade 'Cherry Liqueur'. I love trying out new lip gloss shades so I ended up picking this one at the store. For some reason I decided to try the shade cherry liqueur. I dont know why but I had this feeling that this is one shade which will compliment a lot of outfits and skin tones. So here's my take on the product:

Packaging:

Just by looking at it, you would not find anything fancy in the packaging itself. This gloss comes in a plastic bottle and has a black lid. I find it quite travel friendly and easy to carry. Now moving on to the texture, it is not too runny and very easy to apply. A single stroke, and trust me on that, gives opaque color to your lips. I mean, it is super duper pigmented! What else can you ask for in a lip gloss!

Take a look at the texture:

Results:
The results of this Avon Glazware Intense lip gloss are amazing. You get highly pigmented color with a glossy effect. It makes your lips look so juicy and shiny!  It is very kind to dry flaky lips and the formulation is pretty moisturizing. It lasts upto 4 hours after which a stain is left behind.

The shade 'Cherry Liqueur':
Now talking about the shade which I picked up. This shade is called g406 that is 'Cherry Liqueur'. This shade is a beautiful reddish brown shade with a lot of glossy effect. One thing I love about this shade is that it would compliment all skin types! The micro shimmer is lovely and non gritty.

It looks like this under sunlight:

The GOOD:
  1. Travel friendly
  2. Smooth texture
  3. Moisturizing
  4. Non sticky
  5. This shade suits all skin type.
  6. Highly pigmented
The BAD:
Needs to be re applied after 4 hours.
Overall I just love the product and would surely recommend it to all of you. Have you tried it out yet?

Maybelline Give Me Gold Eye studio palette review:

Hello my lovelies! If you love silky pigmented eyeshadows then BINGO this one is just for you. This fabulous palette here is the plush silk eyeshadow quad by Maybelline called Give Me Gold. This quad has four complimentary colors ranging from light to dark. All the colors are highly pigmented and only a small amount is needed for the desired look.

Packaging:
The quad comes in a rectangular little case with a regular dual ended sponge tip applicator. The applicator is wider on one end for eyeshadow application and narrow on the other end for liner application..
Take a look on the color swatches:

The colors are super pigmented and have a silky feel to them. Here's how I love to use it.

Step1.

Start with a clean eye surface. Apply a primer to your lids and a concealer to the under eye.

Step 2.

Apply the gold color on your eyelid. The colors are so creamy, you can use your fingers, or the sponge tip applicator which comes with it..

Step 3.
Take the copper color and apply it on the outer corner of your eye. Take care just to stay on the outer edge.

Step 4.
Apply the darkest brown shade towards the outer most corner and blend this color on the crease of your eye.
  Step 5.
Apply the lightest shade under your eye brow and towards the inner corner of your eye.
Step 6:

Apply the eyeliner and mascara and yay the look is finished.
and..

So this was how I created the look. I hope you guys enjoyed it.

L'oreal True match super blendable foundation review:

Hey everyone!  Today I am going to review a drugstore foundation which I purchased recently. It is L'oreal True match foundation in the shade n3-natural buff. I am not quite a drugstore foundation person but one of my friends suggested this True match foundation to me and I decided to give it a try. Here is what I think about it:.
and

It comes in a cute bottle with a silver cap. It is quite convenient to carry and you can easily carry it in your handbag. L'oreal true match has a medium to buildable coverage. The finish is satin to matte. The formulation is quite thin but is very pigmented!

One thing I love about this foundation is that it is super easy to blend. You can use a brush to blend it, but I use my fingers and that works equally well. I have acne prone sensitive skin and I really buy my makeup products very carefully because of the fear of breaking out! But this is quite kind to my sensitive skin. Now moving on to the coverage, L'oreal true match foundation gives just the right amount of coverage. You have to choose the right shade for yourself and no one would be able to tell that you actually have makeup on! Here's what my skin looks like when I have no makeup on.
Before

After
As you can see the coverage is pretty decent and I use it when I dont really need a very heavy coverage. It lasts quite long and gives a very natural result. I absolutely love it and I will recommend this to all of you who are looking for a every day foundation which gives more of a natural effect and hides your imperfections at the same time. Plus you do not have to spend a lot of time blending your foundation as this is super blendable! All in all a must have foundation! Have you tried it yet?

How to get a perfect long lasting POOF without teasing your hair or using any hair spray:

Hey everyone. Today I am gonna share with you my version of creating a hair poof but without the teasing and the spray! We all know how to make a poof teasing our hair but it damages the hair and it takes a lot of time. I mean who has the time to tease hair before leaving to work or school. To my rescue came this velcro pad which I happened to see at the local market and I thought to myself "YES , maybe this could work!". I had no two ways about it and immediately purchased it. Here is the star product which looks like

This velcro pad is super easy to use and the results are simply awesome. It hardly takes less than two minutes to create a poof. Here is how I use it:

Step 1:
Take a front section of your hair and separate it from the rest of your hair.

 Step 2:
Place this soft velcro pad on to your hair and press it gently.
Step 3:
Now take the front section and place it on the upper part of the velcro pad..

Step 4:
Secure the poof with two hair pins.
That's it. It is super easy and quick. The velcro will keep your hair in place and the best thing is that the poof is not too high and looks pretty natural. Hence you can wear it on regular day to day basis.

and

Different options:
  • For a half pony, place this pad closer to the top of your head. Just make sure that the rubber band use to hold the pony tail in under the pad.
  • For a full pony, place the pad anywhere from top to bottom depending on what look you want.
While removing, just gently slide it down the length of your hair. Isn't it such a simple and harmless way to create a hair poof. I totally love it!
So what do you think? Will you be rocking the puff?

L'oreal color riche lipstick in chocolate spice review:

Hey everyone. Today I am going to review a lipstick from my favorite drugstore brand that is L'oreal. I am a huge fan of nude lip colors and all shades of pink. I would not normally go in for a  deep brownish lip color but this time it was an exception. Actually I was bored of all my pinks and neutral shades of lipstick and I wanted to try something different for a change. I saw this L'oreal color riche lipstick in the color chocolate spice and I was not pretty sure as to how it will turn out to be. So I decided to give it a try and here's my take on it.

The packaging is nice with a silver colored body.

,

As the name describes, this is truly very creamy and moisturizing. Chocolate spice is a reddish brown chocolatey color which is very kind to dry and chapped lips. I love the way it nourishes my lips and gives them super soft and supple feel. This lipstick surely is a beautiful shade which can be worn on a night out or even to office. It stays on for a good 8 hours on me which is the icing on the cake. Here's how it looks like:

and

I really love the shade and I will repurchase it. This shade is for all of you who do not want to go too dramatic on there lip color yet want something different from their conventional neutrals and pinks. Have you tried it yet?

Maybelline Define-A-Line eyeliner in brownish black review:

Hey all my lovelies. I hope you guys are doing good. I recently purchased this eyeliner from Maybelline Define-A-Line in the color brownish black. It is a precision tip eyeliner which has a built in smudger. This is what it looks like:

What it claims?
  • Precision tip liner provides smoother, more even and effortless application.
  • All day wear
  • Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

My take on Maybelline Define-A-line eyeliner:

I find it quite easy to apply all thanks to the precision tip. It does glide on smoothly and has a very creamy texture to it. I am a great fan of a black kohl pencil but during summer days brown looks great too. That is precisely why I picked up this product. What I like to do is just apply a thick line on my eyelid and then using the built in smudger I gently just smudge away the line. This gives my eyelid a smokey brown color.

and

As you can see the color is highly pigmented and one stroke is enough for an intense finish. One thing which I found disappointing was that IT is not ALL day wear as the company claims! You have to re apply it after 6 hours. But overall it is a good product and all you have to do is grab this pencil apply it, smudge it and you are ready to go! I would give it 3.5 out of 5! Have you tried it yet?
